The company has sold its Seminole facility and will lease an entire floor in a downtown St. Pete office tower.
Wendy Giffin, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield Inc., confirmed the company has leased an entire floor of office tower 200 Central, which is roughly 8,200 square feet. Giffin said with this headquarters move, 200 Central is now fully leased. Ark confirmed the move in a news release, saying the company plans to locate in St. Petersburg effective Nov. 1 and plans to break ground on the Ark Innovation Center in 2022. Its new headquarters will be in 200 Central, an office tower in downtown St. Pete.
New York-based ARK Investment Management LLC, an investment adviser focused solely on investing in disruptive innovation, will relocate its corporate headquarters to St. Petersburg and will also take part in building an incubator.

Industrious doesn't sign leases with landlords; instead, it signs property management agreements, similar to a hotel flag. Its St. Petersburg location will be 37,000 square feet. Construction costs were not disclosed, but office buildout costs in urban environments average around $200 per square foot, which would peg the Industrious buildout at just over $7 million. It is set to open in the second quarter of 2021.
